Globalicious is a unique concept of cultural event & global grooves party. Our aim is to let people dance on global grooves from all over the world, but also raise consciousness by discussing social and cultural issues. For this edition we invite the musicians of Adama Diakité Project, the great dj Rokia Bamba, our special guest is Mohamed Barrie, Mariam Harkay will lead the danceworkshop & Bruselo is the host.

Globalicious is a cultural event and party launched by dj, philosopher & author Bruselo aka Bleri Lleshi. The aim is to let people dance on global grooves from all over the world, but also raise consciousness by discussing social and cultural issues.

Globalicious is also a celebration of cultural diversity. We will offer concerts with music all over the world, dance workshops and will introduce you to the diversity of Brussels and the world.

Globalicious is a party! We will invite local and international dj’s to play global grooves and make you dance till the early morning. We play cumbia, Balkan, Arabesque, global funk, coupé décalé, hip hop, dancehall, reggae…

Mohamed Barrie is a writer and involved in various grass-roots projects. He is part of Kilalo, a project to empower youth of African descent. Recently he launched the project Shoot for dreams in which young girls are brought together via soccer to develop intercultural relations.

Adama Diakité is a great musician living in Brussels. For this concert he got carte blanceh from Globalicious. He will gather some other musicians from Congo, Guinée for a special night. Lovers of African rythms do not miss this one!

Mariam Harkay is one of our favourite dancers. She will make us sweat with her coupé décalé moves.

Rokia Bamba (Massimadi): Rokia is a multi-faceted woman with more than 15 years of experience at Radio Campus Bruxelles, co-creator of one of the first hiphop, r&b en funk programs (Full Mix). She is the Massimadi festival host DJ, likes to experiment, to discover eclectic sonorities, and she’s proud to have AfroElectroHipHopFunkyRaggaStyle in her blood! Her main aim? To see everybody groove on the dancefloor!
