Globalicious & La Tricoterie present: Globalicious New Year’s Party! We are very happy to announce that we have artists from different countries in the world coming to play at our party!

We start the evening with a free welcome drink for the first 100 people. Afterwards concert with Sikoyo, one of the best soukouss bands out there. There is no better band than this to celebrate the beginning of a new year. Get ready to feel the heat of Kinshasa.

Room 1: in Salles des Harches will play residents Rokia Bamba and Bruselo

Room 2: in Salon will play MogaDisco, a dj collective from London

We are very happy to announce that we organise a Globalicious New Year’s Party at the amazing La Tricoterie!

It is going to be a total blast! We start the evening with some tapas and for the first 100 people a free welcome drink. Afterwards concert with Les Nouveaux Nes, an excellent Brussels band playing afro-funk, rumba and soukouss. There is no better music than this to celebrate the beginning of a new year 😉

After the concert dj’s with our favorite: DJ Kisa! One of the top female dj’s who has played in the biggest festivals and venues in Europe. Bruselo, host of Globalicious is teaming up with Kisa.

Globalicious is a unique concept of cultural event & global grooves party. For this edition we invite Skip, a new hip hop band playing their first concert in Brussels. Dj Rita Maia is our guest dj and she is considered as one of the best female dj’s out there. Pisanou Donnez is a young talented hip hop dancer from Brussels, who will show us some great hip hop moves. Last but not least Jerry Afriyie is poet, social critic and activist from Netherlands. Jerry King Luther Afriyie is poet, social critic and activist. In Netherlands he is known for his commitment and activism. Afriyie is one of the main voices in the struggle against racism. At the same time an inspiring thinker commited to bring people together. We are very happy to have him in Brussels.

Skip is a brand new hip hop band in Brussels. They play an explosive mixture of hip hop and funk. This will be their very first concert in Brussels. Write down their name because these band is going to make it to the top. Put your dancing shoes on for their concert as it is going to groove!

Pisanou Donnez is a multi talented dancer. Hip hop, break, tricking… all of them are his specialities. A young dancer from Brussels with big talent and dreams.

Rita Maia makes movies and radio, but is also a gifted DJ. She is born in Portugal and raised in London. She has been engaged in spreading world beats, Afro dancefloor sounds from around the globe. London Worldwide FM. She has also contributed in giving opportunities to local talents in her hometown: Lissbon. As we are doing the same at Globalicious: this is a perfect match!

Mohamed Barrie is a writer and involved in various grass-roots projects. He is part of Kilalo, a project to empower youth of African descent. Recently he launched the project Shoot for dreams in which young girls are brought together via soccer to develop intercultural relations.
